Plant care
My Pebble keeps telling me my soil is dry even though I have watered it.
Here are a few things to check:
Ensure Proper Contact: Make sure the soil is properly compressed around the Pebble. The sensor needs to make good contact with the soil (this is very important).
Wait After Watering: It can take up to an hour for the Pebble to detect that the plant has been watered.
Check Soil Moisture: If the soil is still wet, the Pebble might not detect the new water immediately. Also, if you only give a small amount of water, it might not be detected within an hour.
Manual Update Issues: When pressing the button for a manual update, ensure that you do not press the Pebble in a way that it loses contact with the soil. Make sure the Pebble is touching the soil at all times.
Soil Type: The Pebble only works with soil and will not work with hydro or clay pebbles.
Pot Size: For larger pots, it’s more important to water the soil evenly so the Pebble can accurately detect the moisture level.
My Pebble keeps telling me my plant needs more nutrition.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
Be Patient: It takes time for nutrition to spread through the soil. Avoid adding too much at once and be patient after you’ve added nutrients.
Follow Watering Cycle: Only add nutrition during your regular watering cycle to prevent overwatering the plant.
Troubleshooting
Can I log into multiple devices with my account at the same time?

Yes, you can log into multiple devices with the same account. You should also receive push notifications on all your devices, as long as you’re logged in with the same account on each one.

Does the firmware automatically update, or does a user need to do this?

Firmware updates can be handled both ways. Usually, you’ll need to schedule the update manually by tapping a button in the Pebble settings. The Pebble will then update the firmware the next time it connects online (which could take up to 24 hours).

What do the different colour/flashing codes on the device mean?
Red Flashing:
  • Testing Mode: Blinks red when performing a test or if the Debug Cable is connected. If not in test mode, it blinks white and goes to factory settings.
  • Low Battery or Sensor Issues: Blinks red if the battery is low or if the sensors detect values that are too low (e.g., water, humidity, or temperature). You can view these sensor readings in the app.
  • Battery Too Low for Wi-Fi: Blinks red if the battery is too low for Wi-Fi to work properly.
White Flashing:
  • Pairing Mode: Continuously blinks white while the Pebble is pairing with your device.
  • Sleep Mode: Blinks white for 5 seconds when you press the button to switch to pairing mode or for 20 seconds to enter factory settings.
  • Charging: Continuously blinks white when the Pebble is connected to the charger.
White with Short Red Flashes:
  • Connecting to Wi-Fi: Blinks white while trying to connect to Wi-Fi, with short red blinks for each failed attempt. It’s normal to see about four red blinks every 24 hours, and this should lead to a new measurement within a few minutes.
